Emilia Ishma

My name is Emilia and I have been shooting since 2020. I started on film, second-shooting other people’s weddings — which taught me the essentials: stay out of the way, miss nothing.

Today I work across seven directions, from studio portraits to advertising campaigns. Breadth is usually treated as a weakness; for me it worked the other way. Wedding reportage taught me to catch the moment, brand work taught me deadlines and briefs, and children taught me a patience that covers any self-conscious adult.

Almost every client arrives saying "I am no good in front of a camera". That is normal and it resolves in the first ten minutes: I demonstrate every pose myself, fix hands and chin, and keep talking you through the whole session.

I shoot on a Sony A7 IV with 35/50/85 mm primes and carry my own strobes. Based in Moscow, travelling to other cities and countries.
